CATTARAUGUS - Barbara Sue Tasker-Brown, 56, of Jefferson Street, village of Cattaraugus, passed away Thursday (April 12, 2012) at home with her family by her side while under the care of hospice. Born Nov. 13, 1955, in Lackawanna, she was a daughter of the late Robert A. and Elsie M. Van Rensselaer Tasker. Barbara was a graduate of Hamburg Central School. She enjoyed caring for her children and her animals and spending time with family and friends. She attended the Valley View Baptist Church in Little Valley and was a longtime member of the Hamburg Baptist Church. Surviving are five children, Frank Hawkins of Salamanca, James Hawkins, U.S. Army, Germany, Erin Brown of Little Valley and Elizabeth and Marguerite Brown of Cattaraugus; two brothers, James (Shirley Best) Tasker of Clark Summit, Pa., and Timothy Tasker of Elkhart, Ind.; two sisters, Lois (John) Tasker Mixon of South Africa and Ruth Tasker of Boston; and two grandchildren, Cali and Adie Hawkins.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday (April 14, 2012) in the Valley View Baptist Church in Little Valley. The Rev. Ken Doyle will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Hamburg.
