Obituary of Barbara-Scott Davis


DAVIS Barbara Scott Davis, 90, of Jacksonville, passed away on February 21, 2012. An active member of St. John's Cathedral, Barbara loved serving her church and church family in various roles including Eucharistic Minister, Stephen Minister, Anointer, Lector, Sanctuary Guild, and Daughter of the King. Barbara was a charter member of the Florida Women's Senior Golf Association and served as vice president of the Florida Women's State Golf Association, and president of the Jacksonville Women's Golf and Deerwood Women's Golf Associations. She was a life member of both the Wolfson Children's Hospital Auxiliary and River Garden Auxiliary. Barbara was pre-deceased by her husband, Aaron Davis of Jacksonville. She is survived by her three daughters all of Jacksonville, Barbara Anna Davis, Cathryn Davis Winterfield (Peter) and Janet Davis Owen (Ron), six grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. A service celebrating her life will be held on her 91st birthday, Monday, February 27 at 11 a.m. at St. John's Cathedral, 256 East Church Street, Jacksonville 32202. Interment will follow in the Bishop's Garden. The family would like to thank Community Hospice and the staff at Cypress Village for their compassionate care and support.
