She dedicated her days to serving others around her and gave relentlessly to the ones she loved. Fellowship with her former Kearfott co-workers brought her social happiness. She spent many years bowling on a league of fellow Kearfott employees and continued to socialize weekly with these longtime friends. Her love for bowling is evidenced in the many achievements and recognition she obtained.Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, Kitty Robbins; father, Dewey Parker; and special friend, Kenneth Haney.Left to cherish her memory is an entire community, loved neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Reid and Mr. and Mrs. Walt Moore; friends whom she trusted in her care, Jeanne and Jimmy Paige; her husband for many years and friend for life, Floyd Robinson; step-son, David Robinson (Jennifer) whom she cared for as her own; and many cousins. She was loved by many and will be missed the greatest by her three cats whom she loved deeply, Stinker, Reed, and Piper.A memorial service to honor her life was held on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 6 PM at Wilson Family Funeral Service in Black Mountain. A visitation was held one-hour prior to the service.
