Barbara O. Parker, 74, of Tishomingo, Miss., died Friday, Aug. 18, 2006, at Iuka Hospital.She was born Feb. 16, 1932, in Tishomingo, Miss., to Harold and Eufra Owens Blunt.She earned a master's degree in education from MSU and was an elementary school teacher for almost 40 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ.She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Tillman Parker; her parents; her aunt, Cleo Owens; and her uncle, T.D. Owens.The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, at Deaton Funeral Home chapel, with Brother Haskell Sparks officiating. Burial will be in Tishomingo City Cemetery.Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, is directing.She is survived by aunt, Sibyl Owens, of Booneville; first cousins, Myra Whitlock and husband, James, of Iuka, Monna Sue Hood and husband, Thomas Harold, of Florence, Ala., and Donna Richardson and husband, Bennie Ray, of Booneville; cousins, Joan Moore and husband, Wayne, and Leslie Drinkard, all of Tishomingo, Tara Roberson, of Florence, Chrystal Richardson, of Booneville, Brian Moore, Brandy Moore and Dylan Drinkard, all of Tishomingo, Ross Roberson and Owen Roberson, both of Florence, and David Rushing and wife, Geraldine, of Tishomingo; very special friend and sister-in-law, Noleen Hall, of Tishomingo.Pallbearers are Wayne Moore, Brian Moore, Bobby Gresham, Scott Segars, Joseph McNatt and Edric Parrish.Visitation was held Saturday.
