MOORE, Barbara 'Joan' - Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay on Thursday, November 26, 2009 at the age of 75. Joan (nee Slingsby) was the beloved wife and best friend of Kenneth for 60 years. Loving mother of Ken and his wife Ute, Barry and his wife Elaine, Dan, Glenn and his wife Brenda and Kelly and her husband Kevin Nunn. Devoted Nanny of Shawn and his wife Christina, Michael and his partner Iveta, Blake, Brandon, Brent, Steven, Kendra, Amanda, Doug and Devon. Great-nanny of Gianna and Chloe. Survived by her sisters Shirley Sim and Audrey Bennett and by her brother Gordon Slingsby and predeceased by her brothers Harold Slingsby and Doug Slingsby. Visitation at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay (705-328-2721) on Wednesday, December 2nd from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service in the chapel at 2 p.m. Interment at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay.
