BROWN, Barbara Mary July 25, 1927 January 2, 2012 On January 2, Barbara Brown peacefully passed away. Born Barbara Mary Bell in Galt, Ontario, (now Guelph), her family moved to Vancouver around 1930. Barbara was a wonderful woman, a hardworking mother of five with passion and talent for both singing and writing. In 1980, Barbara was predeceased by Robert Hugh Brown, her husband of 31 years. She was also predeceased by her siblings; Alistair Bell, (Betty), Marjorie, Peggy, Jean, (Arthur LloydJones). Barbara leaves her children; Kathleen Paddington, (Barry), Hugh Brown, (Connie Kuramoto), Robin Brown, (Leslie), Patty Brown, Howie Brown, (Linda Gallagher), to carry on with some of the courage, strength and humour Barbara used to get through the rough bits of life. She will be sorely missed by her grandchildren; Fawn Brown, Rebecca Young (Clint), Tim Brown, Tyler Brown (Stephanie), and Shannon Brown. The family would like to extend our sincere thanks to the care staff at Saanich Peninsula Hospital for the quality care and support they provided. A celebration of Barbara Brown's Life will be held Saturday, January 14 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sidney and North Saanich Yacht Club.
