GOFFSTOWN - Barbara M. (Rice) Johnson, 68, of Goffstown, passed away April 4, 2013, after a 16-year battle with lung disease. She was born Oct. 24, 1944, in Morrilton, Ark. In the 1970s, Barbara worked at the Manchester VA as a nursing assistant. In the 1980s, she was often seen pumping gas at her husband's gas station in Goffstown. For the past 16 years Barbara and her husband, Al spent much of their time traveling in their motorhome, settling down in Yuma, Ariz., for the winters. She loved spending time with children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Albert Johnson, four children, Jamie Johnson of Dunbarton, Kelley and her spouse, Richard St. Jean of Merrimack, Scott Johnson of Arizona, Caroline and her spouse, Bob Boisseau-Johnson of Arizona, foster daughter Andrea Clement of Hudson, nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild. . SERVICES: A memorial service will be held at St James Methodist Church in Merrimack on Wednesday, April 10, at noon. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to Elliot VNA-Hospice.
