Barbara Lee Sanders Valparaiso Barbara Lee Sanders, age 83, of Valparaiso, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at the VNA Hospice Center. She was born on December 14, 1921 in LaPorte, IN, the daughter of DeLano N. and Mary E. (Gross) White. Barbara graduated from Emerson High School and graduated from Business School. She retired from the Indiana Federal Bank Mortgage Loan Department. Surviving is a son, James A. (Shelli) Johnson of Valparaiso; a daughter, Jill (Bob) Magyar of Moscow, ID; two step-daughters: Gail (Jim) Shook of Chesterton and Joan (Jerry) Bartholdi of Valparaiso; five grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and 18 step great-grandchildren. Her husband, Robert B. Johnson in 1968 and husband, Leslie R. Sanders in 1985 preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Bartholomew Funeral Home, with Rev. Joyce Knaff, officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Bartholomew Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Society or the VNA Hospice.
