BARBARA L. ROWAN 93, of 317 Mitchell St., passed away peacefully on Friday, August 13, 2010 at her home. She was born in Salt Lake City, daughter of the late Frank and Clara Bauer LeClere and was the widow of Rae Rowan who died in 1959. Barbara was retired from the Graphic Arts Department at Cornell University where she had worked for many years and had previously worked with her husband at the Wellsville Reporter. She had traveled to all corners of the world with her dear friend, Barbara Hall, helping to tape episodes of WHCU's "Travel Talk." In addition to Barbara Hall of Ithaca, Barbara is also survived by her cousin, Dr. Cliff Bauer of Jamestown. In keeping with Barbara's wishes there will be no public services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the SPCA, 1640 Hanshaw Rd., Ithaca, NY 14850. Arrangements are by the Bangs Funeral Home.
