Barbara L. Johnson, 75, passed away Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at Halifax Hospital, Port Orange. Barbara was born in Scranton Pa., to George and Dorothy Schifter. She moved to Florida from Salem Ore., in 1996. Barbara is survived by her husband, Carl; sons, Gregory and Kevin, Denver; and three grandsons; two granddaughters; and a great-granddaughter. Barbara loved all of life and everything about it from nature to music and her family. Barbara was a gift from God for all who knew her. Barbara was an active member of the Westminster By The Sea Presbyterian Church, Daytona Beach Shores, where hymns in her remembrance will be sung at both services on December 16th. Friends are invited to attend either service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the church. God's finger touched her, and she slept.
