Barbara L. Carter, 68, Bradenton and formerly of Sarasota, died March 10, 2003. She was born Oct. 31, 1934, in Flint, Mich., and came to the area in 1980 from Grand Blanc, Mich. She retired as a condominium association manager for Banyan Bay Club on Longboat Key. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include her mother, Berniece Fly of Grand Blanc; a daughter, Judy Maher of Novi, Mich.; sons Dennis of Otisville, Mich., Tom of Bradenton, Todd of Sarasota and Corey of Venice; sisters Linda Ploeg of Rockford, Mich., Mary Ann Robert of Cape Coral and Pamela Taylor of Swartz Creek, Mich.; five grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren. No visitation is scheduled. The memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at First Church of the Nazarene, Bradenton. Brown and Sons Funeral Home, 43rd Street Chapel, is in charge.
