BROWN, BARBARA L., 61, of Louisville, died Thursday September 24, 2009 at Norton Hospital. She was a political consultant, a member of Bates Memorial Baptist Church, the Friends of The Kentucky Center for African American Heritage and a former board member of TARC. Survivors include two daughters, Kimberly Cecil Jones (Christopher) and Tara L. Brown; a brother, Kenneth Carter Sr. (Danita); four grandchildren Autumn and Denzell Walker; Britalya Mitchell and Caden Nash. Her remains were cremated. A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday September 29, 2009 at Bates Memorial Baptist Church 619 E. Lampton St. Arrangements are by W. P. Porter Mortuary.
