Obituary of Barbara-Joan Lemieux

LEMIEUX, Barbara Joan (nee Kirkwood) - On Sunday, January 4, 2015 our beloved mother, Barbara Joan Lemieux (nee Kirkwood), passed peacefully at Wesburn Manor. Although she was continuously surrounded by family throughout her final days, she decided to let go during a quiet moment alone. Words can't describe how she will be missed. She leaves behind her loving and devoted husband of almost 65 years Joe, her 6 surviving children, Carol (Tim) Trinier, Babbi (Robert McIlveen) Lemieux, Peter (Allison) Lemieux, Michele (Don) Lemieux Cantwell, Stephen (Mary) Lemieux, David (Tamy) Lemieux. She is now joyfully reunited with her predeceased son Jim (Rita-Mike Cochrane). Nana, as she was so lovingly known by so many, also leaves behind 16 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren. The Lemieux family would like to thank the staff at Wesburn Manor for their care and support of Mom over the past 5 years. She will be laid to rest on Saturday, January 17th, 10:30 a.m. at St. Clement Church, 409 Markland Drive, Etobicoke. She will be eulogized and celebrated at a gathering following the Mass in the church hall. For those unable to attend the Mass, you are welcome to join us at the reception. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
