Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday for Barbara Jo "B.J." Adcock Johnson, 79, Rainbow City, who died March 18, 2012. The Rev. Doug Baker will officiate. Entombment will be at Crestwood Mausoleum. Village Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.Mrs. Johnson retired from the Caster-Knott Company after 35 years service. B.J. was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt who will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Johnson; parents, Harold and Estelle Adcock; sister, Gloria Adcock; and brother, Jerry AdcockShe is survived by her children, Nanci (Rick) Clark of Slocomb, Ala., and West (Katie) Johnson of Atlanta, Ga.; niece/daughters, Denise (Danny) Powell and Tanya (Michael) McKee; grandchildren, Bailey and Aidan Johnson of Atlanta; brother, Norman "Buck" (Signa) Adcock; special nieces and nephews, Heath (Frances) Powell, Brandon Powell, Elyza Powell, Stephen (Kaye) Adcock, Toni (Lance) Williamson, Joe (Tina) Wilder; and other nieces and nephews.Special thanks to Lyndsi Flannigan, Beth Cline, all the wonderful nurses of Alacare Hospice, Rohit Patel, girls of Gregerson's Pharmacy, Dr. Debora Reiland, Quannah Kitchens, and special caregivers, Kendall Owensby and Emily Jarrells.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
