SIMMONDS, Barbara Jean (nee Smith) Passed away at the Ottawa Hospital, Civic Campus, on Saturday April 26, 2008 in her 56th year. She leaves behind her husband Doug, step-children Leigh (Christian Couture) of Embrun, Cameron and David, both of Ottawa. Proud step-grandmother ('Bob') to Lily Couture. She will be dearly missed by her wonderful mother Ruth Smith and predeceased by her dear father and best friend, Arthur Smith. She is survived by her sisters Deborah (Don Mullaney) and Alexandra (Jim Moore), of Florida. Loving aunt to Sean and Meagan Mullaney. Special thanks to her cousin and dear friend Adrian for all his care and understanding. Friends may visit Beechwood Cemetery, 280 Beechwood Avenue on Thursday, May 1st from 7-9 p.m. and Friday May 2nd from 10-11 a.m. Funeral Service in the Beechwood National Memorial Centre on Friday, May 2nd at 11 a.m., followed by interment and reception in Beechwood Cemetery.
