Obituary of Barbara-Jean Morris


STATESBORO, Ga. - Barbara Jean Miller Morris, age 49, died Tuesday at East Georgia Regional Medical Center. She was a native and lifelong resident of Bulloch County and attended East Main Church of God. Barbara enjoyed riding her golf cart, jet skis and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Ann Miller. Survivors include her daughter, Brandy Morris of Valdosta; her son, Kasey (Christy) Morris of Clark Hill; her granddaughter, Kylee Morris of Clark Hill; her spouse, Ted Stetson of Statesboro; her father and mother, E.W. and Dorothy Miller of Portal; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenny and Karen Miller and Earl and Wanda Miller; one sister and brother-in-law, Becky and Calvin Williams, all of Statesboro; several nieces and nephews and her loving pets, Maggie and Zeus. The funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Miller officiating. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Barbara Jean Morris Memorial Fund, Guardian Bank, 701 Wildwood Plantation Drive, Valdosta, Ga. 31602.
