ObituaryBarbara Jean Davis, age 59, Fort Myers, Florida, after a 23 day stay in the Intensive Care Unit at HealthPark Hospital, Barbara passed away from complications from a ruptured aneurism. Her family was at her side as she passed on. Born June 11, 1941, to John and Helen Kraus in Dearborn, Michigan. Barbara was a Liquor store manager for Kash and Karry for 10 years. Barbara was among the first women to be accepted as a Elk member at The Fraternal Order of Elks Club #2742. She then went on to be Lounge Manager for the Elks Lodge #2742 North Fort Myers, then lounge manager for American Legion Post #336 in North Fort Myers. She was a member of American Legion Post #351 in Fort Myers. Barbara is survived by her husband Gene Davis; sons, Jim Best, Jr., Cape Coral, FL, Jeffrey Best, Cape Coral,FL; daughter, Dawn Best Fort Myers, FL; grandchildren, Tyler Clutz, Fort Myers, Riley Best, Cape Coral, FL; brothers, Daniel Kraus, California, Mike Kruas, Fort Myers, FL; mother, Helen Kraus; ex-husband, Jim Best, Sr., Cape Coral, FL. In compliance with Barbara's wishes there will be no services. Cremation arrangements entrusted to: Horizon Funeral Home.
