Barbara Jane Weil Wilson Barbara Jane Weil Wilson, 71, passed away at Big Bend Hospice House in Tallahassee on March 6, 2010, after a short illness. Barbara was born in Tampa, the daughter of Adolph Benjamin Weil, Jr. and Florence Steinberg Weil. She grew up in Jacksonville, where she graduated from Lee High School.After graduating from the University of Alabama, she worked for the railroad in Jacksonville before moving to Tallahassee to work as a computer project manager at the Department of Labor. She retired in 1999 and spent the succeeding years traveling with her life partner, Jack Brigham, to many wonderful and exotic destinations.Barbara greatly enjoyed being with Jack's children and grandchildren, and they in turn enjoyed her warmth and love. She will be sorely missed by Jack, as well as by his children, Bradley Brigham (and husband Ghaith) of Washington, D.C., Tracy Brigham of Seattle, Wash., David Brigham (and wife Katy) of Harare, Zimbabwe, and Jason Brigham of Tallahassee.All of them loved her very much. She was also a beloved grandmother to the grandchildren, Miles, Sebastian, Eliza and Zavion. In addition to playing with the grandchildren, Barbara loved FSU football, traveling around the world and going to the beach, especially St. George Island. She enjoyed interacting with her many wonderful friends.Her parents and a beloved brother, Adolph B. (Sonny) Weil, III, preceded Barbara in death, as well as aunts, Clarice Steinberg, Beatrice Stern and Carol (Maurice) Bartley. Survivors include three first cousins, Brenda (Buddy) Pollak, Judy (David/deceased) Mizrahi, and Don (Kim) Bartley, all of Jacksonville; sister-in-law Patricia Pritchard, of Tallahassee, and her family; and the many close friends whose lived she touched.
