-><!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->Brown, Barbara Jane WilkinsKalamazoo, MI: Barbara Jane Watkins Brown passed away peacefully at Life Care Center of Plainwell on Sunday, October 26th. Born in Elmira, NY, May 17, 1925 and a graduate of Elmira College, Barbara Brown lived with her husband of 54 years, Clarence ("Chick") Brown, in the St. Joseph, MI area, from 1949 to 1970. They later moved to the greater Chicago area before settling in Mattoon, IL for 30 years. In 2003, she moved to Kalamazoo, MI, where she lived until she moved to the Life Care Center. She was dearly beloved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Barbara is preceded by her husband, and leaves behind her sister, Marilyn Davis; two children, Sandy Freeland and Bob Brown; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Barbara donated her remains to the University of Michigan Medical School. No service is planned for the immediate future. The family will have a private committal service when her ashes are returned.
