BARBARA JANE MILLER HOBART, IN Barbara Jane Miller, age 59, of Hobart passed away Sunday, September 25, 2011. She was born on March 18, 1952 in Bloomington, IN. Barbara is survived by her husband of over 38 years, Douglas D. Miller of Hobart; one son, Richard L. Shaffer Jr. of Hobart; two daughters: Wendi N. (Ed) Hurni of Westville and Dawn M. (Daniel) Keen of Hobart; one brother, Warren "Sonny" McCauley of Fort Wayne, IN; 2 sisters, Paula (Virgil) Lewis of Valparaiso, IN; Margeruite (John) Collins of Bloomington, IN; eight grandchildren: Natashia S. Shaffer, Kyle T. Hurni, Christian E. Hurni, Makyma C. Webb, Hunter L. Shaffer, Meya K. Thrasher, Korren L. Hurni, and Caden J. Thrasher; and one great grandchild, Landon M. Klein. Preceded in death by her parents: Paul and Martha Hall. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Barbara's honor may be made to the family. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage with Rev. Jerry Martin officiating.
