Obituary of Barbara Fleming


FLEMING Barbara (nee Manzer), age 83, of Mahwah, died Friday, February 8, 2013. Born in Madison, WI, she lived in Ridgewood for many years before moving to Mahwah. Barbara was a long-time member of West Side Presbyterian Church, where she also volunteered in the office; she had volunteered at Kurth Cottage and The Depot as well. Barbara worked at Pediatric Dental Associates, Ridgewood, NJ for over 20 years. She also was a long-time member of Upper Ridgewood Tennis Club. Above all, Barbara was a loving and generous mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and friend, who created a wonderful home for her husband, children, and grandchildren. Surviving are her children, J. Harris Fleming Jr. and his wife Dawn, Garrett Alan Fleming and his wife Lisa, and Claudia Ann Stevens and her husband Matt Bogart. Also surviving are grandchildren Cooper, Gillian, Alexa, and Chase. She was predeceased by her husband, J. Harris Fleming, in 2001. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 12th at 11 AM at West Side Presbyterian Church, 6 South Monroe Street, Ridgewood, NJ 07450. In lieu of flowers, donations to West Side Presbyterian Church or Holy Name Health Care Foundation for Villa Marie Claire, 718 Teaneck Rd., Teaneck, NJ 07666 would be appreciated.
