Barbara Faye Hunter (née Barton), R.N. Funeral arrangements by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Barbara Faye Hunter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, February 23, 2005, at the Grace Hospice after a three-year battle with cancer. Barbara was predeceased by her father Robert and mother Mildred Barton. She is survived by her husband David; son David (Anjanie); grandchildren Darius and Shivani Hunter; brother (David (Ethel) Barton; niece and nephew Connie and Matthew. Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, she moved to Winnipeg where she graduated from nursing Class 62B Winnipeg General Hospital. Barbara dedicated 32 years of nursing to the Grace Hospital. She was extremely proud of her flower and vegetable gardens, and spoiling her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Thank you to Dr. R.N. Kippen, Dr. A. Cooke, Dr. R. Hamadani, CancerCare Manitoba and the staff at the Grace Hospice. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Reception will follow the service in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grace Hospice, 260 Booth Drive, Winnipeg, MB R3J 3R5.
