Obituary of Barbara-Elizabeth Carter


Carter, Barbara Elizabeth, 74, of Pompano Beach, passed away September 15, 2005. Born in Philadelphia, PA., September 10, 1931 to the late Floyde and Ruth Oelschlager. Barbara graduated from Roselle Park High School in Roselle Park, NJ. She was a former travel agent with Delta Dream Vacations (Certified Tours) and Northeastern Airlines. She was a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous for the past 27 years, the 101 Club and the 12th Step Group in Pompano Beach, Daughters of the American Revolution and the First Degree Reiki Practitioner. Barbara had a strong political conviction and enjoyed reading, movies and traveling extensively throughout the world. Barbara is survived by her devoted children, Joyce (Bill) Herrman, Bill (Peggy) Kohlhepp and Richard Kohlhepp; grandchildren, Traci, Melanie, Justin, Jared, Benjamin, Emily and Alex; and sister, Patricia Bailie. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, October 9, 2005 at 1:15 PM at the 101 Club, 700 SW 10th Drive and Dixie Highway, Pompano Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: American Red Cross, Hurricane Katrina Fund, P.O. Box 37243, Washington, D.C. 20013.
