COLLINSBarbara Elinor, age 72 of Long Beach Island and Bar-negat, New Jersey, died on May 8, 2007. She was a part time resident of Long Beach Island for 20 years and former resident of Cambridge, MA, Tonawanda and Somers, New York, Antwerp, Belgium, South Barrington, IL, and Houston, TX. Barbara was born in Somerville, MA to Leo and Bernice Jennings. She was a Homemaker, Social Worker and Librarian. Barbara graduated high school from Cambridge High School and Latin, and she earned a BA from Harvard University, Cambridge, MA. She will be remembered for her family devotion, volunteerism and her love of art, music and literature. She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, John Joseph Collins, as well as her four children, John Joseph Collins, of Cohasset, MA, Joanne Collins Downey of Croton-on-Hudson, NY, Amy Collins Fierro of Closter, NJ, and Eileen Collins Kauffman of Riverdale, NY, their spouses and her eight grandchildren. Friends may call at Clark Associates Funeral Home, Kat-onah, NY on Saturday, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's RC Church, Katonah, NY on Monday 10 AM. Entombment will follow at Fern-cliff Mausoleum, Hartsdale, NY.
