Carter Barbara Ward Carter, 80, of Tallahassee departed this life on Tuesday, August 6, 2013.Memorial services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday at her church, Berean Christian Fellowship, 6214 Blountstown Highway, Tallahassee. TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE 850-942-1950 is serving the family. A native of Richmond, VA, Mrs. Carter had lived in Tallahassee since 1988. She was a retired LPN and had worked extensively in the area as a private duty nurse.Among her survivors are: her sons, Rodney and Victor Ward and Gregory Carter, Sr.; daughter, Kathy Carter (Trent) Jenkins; grandchildren, Justin Ward, Greg Carter, Jr., Chloe Carter, Trent Jenkins II, Kaya Jenkins and Miguel Carter Fisher; and special surrogate children, Deidra Haynes, James and Goldie Groomes.She was predeceased by her parents, Edloe and Edna Thurgood Ward; brother, Alfred Ward and sister, Margaret Ward Seay.
