A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late George and Frances Woodruff Herrod, Jr.Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, with Bud Mitchell, Ben Cates and James Lively officiating. Burial will follow in the Coleman Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.Mrs. Brown is survived by her son, Don Alan Brown of Readyville; her 2 grandchildren, Harley Don and Haley Idann Brown; her sister, Marie Ratley of Murfreesboro; and the mother of Harley and Haley, Brenda Brown of Murfreesboro. She is preceded in death by her husband, Don Brown and a sister, Ella Jo Pope.Mrs. Brown was a member of Sharpesville Church of Christ, and was retired as Vice President of Commerce Union and First City Bank.
