Barbara Anne Sherman, 69, Bradenton, died May 17, 2005. She was born Sept. 14, 1935, in Ware, Mass., and came to Manatee County in 2001 from Burlingame, Calif. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her companion, Ivan Vilchez; daughters Donna A. Bales of Bradenton, Sandra A. of Jacksonville and Sharon A. Davis of Reno, Nev.; a sister, Rosemary Ayers of Lathrop, Calif.; a brother, J.R. Eldredge of Mountainview, Calif.; and five grandchildren. Services will be private for the family. Brown and Sons Funeral Home, 43rd Street Chapel, is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
