Barbara was born on September 4, 1932, in Fraser, MI. She was one of three children born to Morris and Linda (Wormsbacher) Grady. She graduated Shrine High School of Royal Oak, MI, in 1950. On September 1, 1951, she was united in marriage to Donald Ray Johnson in Royal Oak, MI. Following their marriage, the couple made their home in Royal Oak, MI, and then to Rochester, MI, where they raised a family of 5 children. She and her family moved to Avon Park in 1973, where her husband, Donald, worked as a builder until their retirement, in 1995. Barbara will forever be remembered for her good nature and willingness to help everyone that was fortunate enough to know her. Her friends, children, and grandchildren were always her greatest source of happiness. Barbara is survived by her husband, Donald Johnson of Avon Park, FL; brother, Gary (Sun Bi) Grady of Caledonia, MI; son, Michael Johnson of Avon Park, FL; daughter, Judith (Jeffrey) Bratvold of Avon Park, FL; daughter, Laurie (William) Stringfield of St Petersburg, FL; son, James (Margaret) Johnson of Melbourne, FL; as well as 11 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Maureen Grady; and son, Stephen Johnson. Memorials are preferred to Highlands County Good Sheppard Hospice.
