Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2009, at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mrs. Barbara Ann Jenkins Johnson, 50, Rainbow City, who passed away Monday, March 2, 2009. The Rev. Billy Boatwright will officiate with burial at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.Mrs. Johnson was a native and lifelong resident of Etowah County and a member of the Gospel Temple Church. She had been employed several years with the Poor House Restaurant. She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Jenkins.Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Johnson; mother, Earline Jenkins; children, David (Monica) Jenkins, Chris (Amanda) Neely, Kevin (Tawona) Neely, Regina (Devin) White, Amber (Omar) Sullivan, Madison (Robert) Odell and Kenneth "Bubba" Johnson Jr.; grandchildren, Darian, Jaylon, William James and Cortney Jenkins, Jacob and Abbie, Koltain, Faith and Hope Neely, Olivia and Oren Sullivan and Allie Odell; sister, Shirley (Bo) Hughes; brother, Lewis Jenkins; niece, Whitney Hughes; and special companion, Queenie.Pallbearers will be family and friends.The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.On line condolences may be made at www.mem.com
