BARBARA ANN ERICKSON CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Barbara Ann Erickson, 73, of Charlotte, N.C., previously of Burlington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010. Barbara was born Aug. 28, 1937 in Danbury, Conn., the daughter of the late Peter and Rose Jurinski. She enjoyed frequent walks with her family along Lake Champlain and especially loved visiting the grounds of Shelburne Farms. Barbara's passion for reading often found her sitting at the dining room table, lost in the pages of her latest book, and enjoying a steaming cup of Earl Grey tea. She will always be remembered for her love and devotion to her family. Barbara's kindness endeared her to everyone she touched and she will forever be missed. She is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, Herbert Erickson, of Charlotte, N.C.; her sister, Jean Cronin of Wallingford, Conn.; her daughter, Leslie Erickson and her husband, Brent Weaver, of Newnan, Ga.; her son, Christopher Erickson and his wife, Christine, of Charlotte, N.C.; her daughter, Carla Fiske and her husband, Erik, of Underhill; and her two beloved grandchildren, Riley Weaver and Alexander Erickson; as well as many inlaws, nieces and nephews. Barbara's family wishes to thank the staff at Levine and Dickson Hospice House and the staff at Charlotte Square Assisted Living for their compassion, care and companionship. Per Barbara's wishes, there will be no visiting hours or funeral. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
