ARMSTRONG, Barbara R. (nee Dugal) Passed away at home on March 3, 2004. Barbara was born in Ottawa on July 11, 1946. Her husband Ellis moved the family to Victoria when he joined the staff at William Head Institution in 1972. She was predeceased by her mother Lillian, February 12, 2004. Beloved wife of Ellis. Barbara is survived by her husband; son Warren (Chantal) in New-Brunswick and daughter Ann (Kevin) in Arizona; her grandchildren James and Ian; brother Ernie (Winnie) Dugal and a sister Joan (Garfield) Latreille in Kemptville as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Barbara worked for the Ottawa Police Force prior to coming to Victoria and then worked in Victoria for the Ministry of Agriculture for the next twenty-two years. Following retirement Barbara developed a great interest in card making and a passion for sewing. Many recipients of her crafts are appreciative. Her love for animals is reknown as she always carried biscuits for dogs. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. A Memorial Service was held Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at First Memorial Funeral Chapel in Victoria, BC. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the SPCA.
