ARMSTRONG Barbara R (nee Dugal) Passed away at home on March 3rd , 2004. Barbara was born in Ottawa on July 11, 1946. Her husband, Ellis, moved the family to Victoria when he joined the staff at William Head Institution in 1972. She was predeceased by her Mother, Lillian, February 12, 2004. Beloved wife of Ellis, Barbara is survived by her husband, son Warren (Chantal) in New Brunswick and daughter, Ann (Kevin) in Arizona, her grandchildren James and Ian, brother Ernie (Winnie) Dugal and a sister Joan (Garfield) in Ottawa, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Barbara worked for the Ottawa Police Force prior to coming to Victoria and then worked here for the Ministry of Agriculture for the next twenty-two years. Following retirement Barbara developed a great interest in card making and a passion for sewing. Many recipients of her crafts are appreciative. Her love for animals is reknown, as she always carried biscuits for dogs. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. God speed my darling. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday March 09, 2004 at First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1155 Fort Street at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SPCA orto The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
