Mr. Billy Ray Williams, 73, of Lula, Ga., passed away on Monday, April 22, 2013. A lifetime resident of Hall County, he was the son of the late Harry B. and Floy G. Williams. He was retired from Southern Railroad as an electrician. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.He is survived by his daughters, Lavette Cathey of Gillsville and Aleta Kennedy of Gainesville; sisters and brothers–in-law, Tammy and Randy Buffington of Lula, Shirley and Jack Hudgins of Oakwood, Joan and David Waldrep of Commerce; brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Sandy Williams of Gainesville; brother, Jimmy E. Williams of Washington; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives survive.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. The Rev. Alvin Burns and the Rev. Billy Poole will officiate. Interment will be at Timber Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
