Funeral for Billy Ray Williams, 70, of Town Creek will be Sunday, July 11, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Sparks and the Rev. Wyman Logan officiating.Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Town Creek. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mr. Williams died Thursday, July 8, 2004, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Dec. 1, 1933, in Decatur to Lloyd Williams and Carrie Holderfield Williams. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Williams in 2001. Survivors include his wife, Peggie G. Williams; one son, Jonathan Williams of Town Creek; and three brothers, Jimmy Williams of Courtland, Joe Williams of Decatur and Don Williams of Hillsboro. Pallbearers will be friends and family members.
