BETTY JEANNETTE SMITH September 17, 1927 - April 4, 2014 Surrounded by family, on April 4, 2014 Betty left us to join her beloved Jeff. Betty will be sadly missed by sons and daughters Stephanie (Tom), Duffy (Patty), Frank (Debra), Penny (John) and Stuart, grandchildren Michael, Andrew, Victoria (Adam), Melanie (Paul), Duffy Jr., Charlee, Parker, Amanda and Matthew, sister Joan (Bob), sister-in-law Fran and brother- in-law Bob. Predeceased by her husband of 63 years Jeffrey. As an original Applewood Acres resident and Mother Extraordinaire, Betty demonstrated continuous love for her family by supporting them in all aspects of their lives. From hockey to swimming; from piano to creative projects; from apple pies to affairs of the heart; she could always be counted on. She was an expert knitter and loved writing letters, travelling, country music, theatre and crossword puzzles. Her witty sense of humour and contagious laughter will be missed by all of us. Thank you to Dr. Kubba, Erlinda, Anna and the staff at Trillium Health Centre - Mississauga for their kindness and support.
