Betty Jean Moore, 72, of Mount Washington, died on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013. She was a homemaker, farmer, former employee of General Electric and the American Cellophane Co. and a Hospice volunteers. She was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed gardening, antiquing and was a member of Bethany Baptist Churcy. She was preceded in death by one son, Eddie Cox. She was the beloved wife of Donnie Moore; mother of five children, Michael (Regina) Cox, Susan (Jerry) Belobraydic, Kathy Wiley, Connie (Danny) Griffin and Donna (Rick) Molyneaux; brother, Thilo (Marilyn) Tharp; grandmother of 16; and great-grandmother of 14. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 10, at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home in Mount Washington with burial in Kings Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Saturday and after Noon on Sunday.
