BETTY C. ROGERS, 87 LAKELAND - Betty C. Rogers, age 87, of Lakeland, FL passed away October 21, 2013 due to heart failure. She was born November 3, 1925 in Warren, PA the daughter of Nial L. Gorton and Isabelle Mack Gorton. She was a facilities assigner with Bell Telephone Company/Verizon and retired after 35 year of service. She was an active charter member of Reformation Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening and reading. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband Harry J. Rogers. She is survived by her son Brian Rogers, daughters Janice Simpson John and Nancy Loverme Joseph , 5 grandchildren, 11 great- grandchildren and 2 great great-granddaughters. Visitation is Sunday, 10-27-13 from 4-6pm with funeral services Monday, 10-28-13 at 2 00pm, both at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home at Glen Abbey, Auburndale, FL.
