Betsy Anne Hall, wife of the late William G. Hall, 89, passed away Friday, March 2, 2012. She was born December 19, 1922 in Danville, Virginia daughter of Annie and Allan Fox. She graduated from Averett University in Danville and Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. She was a member of Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society and Gamma Theta now Kappa Delta. She taught high school in Virginia and North Carolina before moving to Daytona Beach in 1955. Betsy was a member of Cherry Laurel Garden Club, The Junior League, served on the board of the Y.W.C.A., Young Life and the Orthopedic Center. Her most cherished service was at the First United Methodist Church of Ormond Beach where she taught youth and the adult "Seekers" Bible classes. She also served on the Administrative Council, Building Committee, Endowment Fund and as a Lay Pastor. She is survived by a cousin, Peggy Vaden of Columbus, Georgia; five nieces; two nephews; and a sister-in-law, Gloria Fox. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, March 6th, 3:30 p.m. at Salty Church, Beachside Campus, 221 Vining Court, Ormond Beach. Memorials may be given to New Start, Salty Church, or Halifax Hospice of Volusia/Flagler.
