COOPER, Bertha Newman, 76, a resident of Montgomery, AL, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2001 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 15, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. from Leak-Memory Chapel with Rev. John Gaines and Rev. Garner Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Midway Church of Christ Cemetery, Just South of Verbena, AL on Hwy 31 with graveside services at 3:00 p.m. She was a long-time member of Forest Park Baptist Church. Survived by her husband, Robert W. Cooper; son, Robert W. Cooper II (Cathy) of Huntsville, AL; daughters, Kathy Cooper Trawick (Wayne) of Little Rock, AR, Ara Jo Cooper Hord (Cecil) of Pine Level, AL, Jerry Griffin Parrish of Orlando, FL; seven grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lucille Cooper Summerlin and a host of relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be nephews and grandnephews. Honorary pallbearers will be her Sunday School Class and Montgomery Railroad Retirees.
