Bertha F. Smith of Buchanan, died on July 15, 2009. She was 91 years old. She was born in Buchanan, NY on November 27, 1917. She is survived by her granddaughters Kathleen (Robert) De Jesse and Colleen (Patrick) Murphy, daughter in law Jacqueline Conklin, great grandchildren, Robert and Brianna De Jesse, Kevin and Shawn Murphy. She was predeceased by her son Robert C. Conklin in 2003, sisters Eunice McDonough and Elizabeth (Bunnie) Metzger. Reposing at the Cortlandt Funeral Home 3-8 PM Friday. A funeral service will be held 10 AM on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Assumption Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor, NY.
