Obituary of Barbara-Grace Carter

BARBARA GRACE (CLARK) CARTER - SOUTH BURLINGTON - Barbara Grace (Clark) Carter passed away peacefully on March 6, 2014, with her family at her side. She was born on Oct. 24, 1932, the daughter of Harold and Margaret Clark of Glens Falls, N.Y. Mom was 81, a knitter (never a missed stitch), seamstress (always a straight stitch line), rug braider, maple syrup and candy maker, motorcycle passenger who knitted while they were going down the road (with Dad, they rode the lower 48 and were Americade Ambassadors and Retread Chapter Presidents), traveled to Alaska, Mexico and many Caribbean cruises. She had many more talents, was smart and had a sense of humor and we will miss her. Mom/Meme/Barb is survived by her children and their spouses, Gretchen and Lynn Begnoche, Jeff and Pam Carter, and Cathie and Paul Graves; seven grandchildren, Keri, Kourtney, Brittany, Keegan, Jarrod, Eric and Chelsea; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Liz Healy and Gini Dutcher; brother, Tom Clark; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Earle Carter, in 2002.
