BROWN, Barbara E. Barbara E. Brown, 79, died on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at the Hampton House, Wilkes-Barre, PA, where she had resided for the past three months. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jerry R. Brown. Barbara was a delivery room nurse at Binghamton General Hospital and the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. She retired from the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in 1997. Barbara was born in Elmira, NY and was the daughter of the late Elwin and Helen Hapeman Middaugh. She was a graduate of Elmira Southside High School and resided in Elmira until recently when she lived in Dunmore, PA. She was a member of the Moosic Alliance Church where a remembrance service was held on May 8, 2010. The Reverend Douglas Jensen officiated. Barbara is also survived by three sons, who are Jerry W. Brown of Camp Hill, PA, Garrett A. Brown of Old Forge, PA, and Christopher D. Brown of Mechanicsburg, PA; three daughters, who are Elayne K. Jones of Dunmore, PA and Julie D. Marco of Wilkes-Barre, PA; five grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Larry, who resides in Florida. A funeral service in Elmira, followed by internment in Ogdensburg, PA, will be scheduled at a late date by the family .
