Funeral for Avie Othine Terry Smith, 79, of Moulton will be Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with David Calhoun officiating. Burial will be in Graham Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mrs. Smith died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, at her residence. She was born June 11, 1924, in Lawrence County to David and Mary Terry. She was a homemaker and a mother. Survivors include four sons, Billy G. Smith and James Lee Smith, both of Courtland, and David D. Smith and Jackie W. Smith, both of Moulton; five daughters, Betty O. Cottingham, Elizabeth Melson Sparks, Darean Box, Debbie Hale and Connie Smith Kilpatrick, all of Moulton; two brothers, Wilmer Lee Terry and Robert Ray Terry, both of Moulton; two sisters, Clovie Lowery of Tuscumbia and Marveline Bowen of Courtland; 39 grandchildren; and 47 great-grandchildren.Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
