Autume-Gail Smith, born in 1950, spouse of Jackie Smith, mother of Kyle, Jeffrey, Art, Randy, Beth, Amanda, Beth', Dillon, Jeremy, Breanna, Chasity, Gary, Jennifer, Tom, Wendy, Becky and Gretchen, died on March 11, 2008.
May 12, 1950-March 11, 2008 Our loving wonderful angel lost her life and went to heaven from a car accident. Autume has left behind so many people that she loved, her husband, Dennis Smith, the man that made her life begin with joy, peace and freedom. He showed her what a real man is; her father-in-law, Mancel Smith, that she loved just as much as she loved her passed father, Fredderick Arnoldi; and her mother-in-law, Mary Smith, which she loved just like her own passed mother, Georgia Arnoldi. Autume will still tell you Mary to this day to quit smoking! Her son, Kyle Smith, which she loved and so greatly appreciated his kindness, help and being by her side at night to come to her every request! She loved her brothers, Herbie, Mark and Alvin; and her passed brother, Bill Arnoldi; her sisters-in-law, Sally Arnoldi and Sally's sons, Jeffrey, Art and Randy. Peggy Smith and her babies, Chris, Kristina, Sandi and Peggy's grandbabies, Carlee, Shyanna, Kasey, Jayden, Kay Smith and her man, Vernon Sullens, and Kay's children, Beth and Amanda and Beth's babies, Kali, Ben and Marla. Her brother-in-law, Eddie Smith, and his wife, Amby Smith, and their sons, Dillon Crow, Jeremy and daughters, Breanna and Chasity, her brother-in-law, Gary Smith, his sons Gary Jr. and Matthew and their mother, Jackie Smith. Her daughter, Jennifer Hartley and her husband, Tom Hartley, with the loved grandbabies Jennifer gave her, Tommy, Joseph, Amanda, Jason and Samantha. She was very proud of Jennifer and all her family. Her daughter, Wendy Little, and her grandson, Jacob Little and Jered. Autume loved Wendy and Jacob with all her heart her wishes is for both of them to succeed in life. Her daughter, Becky Little and her man Ricardo Palacios and the loved grandbabies from Becky, Truw, Sofia, Ricardo Jr., Marissa. Her adopted daughter, Gretchen Goff. Autume loved so many people, everyone that crossed her path became family to her. She prayed for so many; she loved so many. Autume worked for Piolax Corporation in human resources. That was the perfect spot for her. She could help people in privacy and try to send them out of the office with hope, love, life and the strength to not quit, keep on going the best you can, there's a better day coming! There was not one person at her work that she did not like or love. Piolax Corporation was good to Autume, from the owners, her bosses, co-workers, contractors, vendors, she loved everyone of you and prayed for everyone that walked in her door and said I need to talk, whether it was personal, business or just needed help to hang on for one more day. For those of you that will miss her just as much as her family, remember in her heart you were family to her and she will continue to look down on you as an angel now! Autume was a survivor of cancer, she continued to fight the battle and lots of other health problems. She never gave up, there were lots of people that helped her at different times of her battles and Autume would like to thank you, all of you for every care, thought prayer, nagging her don't eat that, are you ok?, cleaning, cooking, helping heal her wounds from every surgery. And to her one of her bestest friends, Angie, she loved you like a sister, she would have done anything for you. You helped her in so many ways that you can not begin to imagine, she loves you and will probably pluck your nerves at work and laugh when it's payroll time and say ha-ha, please remember Texas is always just a phone call away, life is too short, take a chance, take time for yourself, live for every wonderful breath that God gives us and stop and remember you are loved and are a very beautiful woman with wonderful children that Autume loved dearly like they were hers, Brandus and Brady. And don't forget Dixie Chicks! My name is Becky Little and I am writing this for my mother, Autume Smith. I know my mother spoke of so many people, co-workers, family, friends, her husband's co-workers and lots of others, I know how it goes with these obituaries, sometimes people get left out, please remember my mother was not ready to go in one sense, but God was ready for her to come home, so if in any way I (Becky Little) have left out someone, you know my mother and she is hammering me right now to write this, and I don't want to because I just want her here, and I'm sure everyone else does too! I guess we just don't get our way and sometimes like she would tell me "Just know I don't hurt anymore and I love everyone of all kinds, colors and shapes and will be your angel when you need me just call my name and I'll be there, open your heart and mind and you will know I am there. Don't be sad for me because I am safe, healthy and at peace with Jesus, fishing, planting flowers, no more suffering, and I'm still checking on my husband's bank account three to four times a day!" From my mother to everyone "I love you and will see you when you get home, but take your time and let God choose your day, and remember what he has made and gave for you now to enjoy. Find the good things until your time to join me comes." Come to Autume's funeral just as you are, don't wear fancy clothes, wear whatever makes you happy, you won't be able to see it but she has her house slippers on, too! Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2008, in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Johnny Bryant and David Patterson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2008, at the funeral home. Memorial Park Funeral Home, Gainesville
