Obituary of Aurore-Adelia Dube


DUBÉ Aurore Adelia Dubé, age 92, former Norwalk and Redding resident, died Friday, October 20, 2006 at Wilton Meadows. She was the wife of the late Treffle Dubé. Born February 28, 1914 in Victoriaville, Canada, Mrs. Dubé came to the U.S. at six months of age, had lived in Norwalk and moved to Redding upon her retirement from Yankee Metal, where she had worked for 40 years. After her retirement she worked part time at the Darien Ice Rink for 15 years. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include a son, Edward Dubé and his wife, Patricia, of Redding; a daughter, Celine Raymond and her husband, Larry, of Stratford; three sisters, Terry Miller of Colchester, Gloria Carlson of Norwalk and Rita Gelb of Florida; four grandchildren, Eric Dubé and his wife, Taina, Scott Raymond, Tamara Guarino and her husband, A.G. and Nicolle Levesque and her husband, Greg; four great-grandchildren, Taylor Aurore and Riley Brooks Guarino, Luke Erik and Ava Ruth Dubé; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, October 25, 9:30 a.m. in St. PhilipPs Church, 1 Fr. Colon Place, Norwalk with burial to follow at St. JohnPs Cemetery, Norwalk. The family will receive friends on TODAY from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk.
