WILLIAMS, ARTHURMr. Arthur Williams, age 78, a resident of Gainesville, Florida, passed away on April 13, 2010. Mr. Williams attended Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind, St- Augustine, Florida. He retired from the Safety Cab Company as a dispatcher after 50 years of set vice and was a member of Mount Olive AME Church, Gainesville, FL Mr. Williams was many things to many people. A GPS system, Mechanic, Alarm Clock, Finance Adviser, a great brother, an uncle, a friend to so many. But most of all he was a true child of God. He enjoyed listening to music and traveling to see his family and friends. Preceded him in death was: 1 Daughter, Vivian Ashley, 2 Sisters, Ella Mae Brown and Ruby L. Williams Fudge and 3 Brothers, Ernest, Joe B and Jerome Williams. Mr. Williams leaves: 2 Daughters, Adelle Roberson & Gloria Woodard both of Gainesville, FL; 1 Son, Calvin Woodard, Fayetteville, NC; a sister Rev. Bessie Harrison, Ocala, FL; 1 brother, Andrew (Betty) Williams, Louisville, KY; an aunt Osceola Green, Baldwin, Fl: and a host of devoted and loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family members; Special Friends Ethel Williams, Gwen Crawford Young, Luvenia Davis & Clarence Pollard- Caregiver, Jane M. Fudge, Great Nephew Brandon "Hercules" Morgan. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2010, at 11am, at Mount Olive AME Church, 721 SE 8th Street, Gainesville, FL. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:00pm on Friday, April 23, 2010 at the church. The processional will form at his sister's residence Ruby L. Fudge, 1512 NE 6th Avenue, at 10am.
