FRAMINGHAM Arthur V. Scott, 86, formerly of Marlborough and Harwich, died June 13, 2008, at Carmel Terrace in Framingham. Born in Marlborough, he was the son of the late William and Cordelia ( Boudreau) Scott, and the husband of Gertrude ( Simoneau) Scott, of Framingham, to whom he had been married for the past 67 years. A graduate of Marlborough High School, Class of 1940, Mr. Scott served in the Army Air Corps, during World War II. He had been employed as a machine shop supervisor for Data General for many years. Following his retirement in 1984, he volunteered his expertise in automotive repair at Cape Cod Vocational School, until the age of 82. He loved to travel, square dance, rejuvenate old cars and was known as a jack of all trades. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Denise Scott of Marlborough; his daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Louis Kulaga Jr. of Clinton, Jean and Steve Ajemian of Collegeville, Pa. and Christine and M. Kent Knudson of Sioux City, Iowa; his brother and sister-in-law, Robert W. and Margaret Scott of Marlborough, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 19, at 9:30 am in the Holy Family Chapel at St. Patricks Manor, 863 Central St., Framingham. Burial will be held at 2 p.m. at the National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, June 18, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough.
