Obituary of Arthur-V. Anderson


Arthur V. Anderson, 78, Bradenton, died Jan. 20, 2003. He was born Oct. 27, 1924, in Manatee County. He was retired. He served in the Navy. He was a Seventh-day Adventist. Survivors include daughters Ophelia Williams of Bradenton, Queen Turner of Pomona, Calif., and Joanne of Los Angeles; sisters Ella R. Mack of Bridgeport, Conn., Marjorie Walton of Palmetto and Dorethia Waiters of Palmetto; brothers John Hughes of Tampa, Eddie Brooks of Mississippi and Ben Brooks of Palmetto; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Riggins and Daughter Funeral Home in Bradenton. The service will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Mount Gillead Seventh-day Adventist Church in Bradenton. Burial will be in Mansion Memorial Park in Ellenton.
