Mr. Arthur John Werth Jr., 73, died on June 7, 2011, at the Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover, N.J. Friends may visit at the Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Succasunna, N.J., (973) 584-7264, davishepplewhitefh.com, on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Therese R.C. Church in Succasunna, with the interment to follow at the Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa, N.J. Mr. Werth was born in Paterson, N.J., and lived in Clifton, N.J., before moving to Succasunna 34 years ago. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1958. Mr. Werth started working at Western Electric as a PBX installer and later worked for AT&T and Lucent Technologies in Liberty Corner as a serviceman level No. 5 before retiring in 1998. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus Council in Clifton. Mr. Werth was predeceased by his wife, Mary (McCrone), in 1997, and is survived by his six children, Patricia (and Michael) Coviello of Hackettstown, N.J.; Lisa (and Joe) Oefelein of Pleasanton, Calif.; AJ III of Long Valley, N.J.; Linda (and Ken) DeGraw of Andover, N.J.; Deborah (and Dave) Reinert of Mechanicsburg, Pa., and Raymond (and Kathleen) Werth of Yardley, Pa. He also leaves his 14 grandchildren, Eric, Sean, Sara, Andrew, Kaitlyn, Dean, Mitch, Jake, Brandon, Samantha, Kenny, Stephen, Chris, and Everett.
