Obituary of Arthur-F. Crowe


Crowe, Arthur F., 76, a longtime resident of Uniondale, NY passed away suddenly on January 24, 2009 at his home in Plantation, FL. A New York State elected official, he was a member and past president of the Uniondale School Board. He served in this capacity for over 20 years. A proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served during the Korean War. He formed his own company Designed Power Systems, an emergency industrial generator company where he was widely respected by his peers. An avid model train collector, he maintained an extensive collection, and was a member of TCA since 1967. He is survived by his wife of over 50 years Audrey; his four children, Laura (David) Sanchez, Arthur Jr. (Natalie), Douglas (Doreen), and David (Rebecca); 5 grand-children: Douglas Jr., Daniel, Emily, Adam & Thomas. He was anticipating the birth of his 6th grandchild. He is also survived by his brother Robert (Sherry) Crowe, sister-in-law Sr. Virgina Lacker, and his 5 "grand-dogs". Friends will be received on Monday and Tuesday from 5:00-8:00 pm at the T.M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home, 7001 NW 4 Street. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday 11:00Am at the funeral home. Interment will take place at South Florida VA National Cemetery at 1:30 PM, where military honors will be rendered.
